Coach TJ
My passion for helping others change their lives through fitness came after I went through a life altering car accident. In 2008, I was involved in a head on collision, that put me in the hospital for 30 days with a hip surgery, and multiple spine and neurological injuries. Doctors told me I would never walk on my own again without some form of assistance. At the young age of 20, I fell into a dark depression and spent the next two years in a wheelchair, believing this to be my new normal. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired, and I took my health back into my own hands.
It was through fitness and nutrition that I was able to overcome this dark place that had consumed my soul. I know what it’s like to be the weakest person in the gym, and the intimidation that comes with it. I know what it’s like to live in pain every moment of my life. I remember the defeat when the doctors told me I’d never walk again. I got to work on myself, quit with the excuses, and set out on a mission to be the best me I could be.
Within the first year of exercising, I no longer needed help to walk. I threw out my cane, crutches, and wheelchair. This is where my passion was born. I realized that exercise helped my pain, made me stronger, and that we are all capable of doing something to better our health. I decided to change career paths, and become a certified personal trainer, so that I could help others overcome their health challenges. Ironically enough, I got hired by a couple different Physical Therapy clinics as my first jobs in the fitness space. I got to work beside some brilliant doctors and worked with patients with a variety of pains and dysfunctions. From paralysis to strokes, knee and hip replacements, and everything in between. This gave me a unique skill set, and the confidence to know that I can help almost anybody achieve a better life through fitness and nutrition coaching.
Professionally coaching full time since 2013, I have performed tens of thousands of training sessions, and worked with clients of a broad spectrum. I have studied fitness and nutrition daily and made it my goal to be the very best Coach I can be, keeping up with the best education, certifications and training practices. I have also hired and mentored many Coaches, holding a gold standard for myself and my teams. We are relentless in our pursuit to help you reach your goals and make positive changes that last a lifetime. Everyone deserves a coach in their corner. Legendary Coach John Wooden once said: “A good Coach can change a game. A great Coach can change a life.” That is the business we are in at 4F Coaching, changing lives. Fitness and nutrition changed my life forever, and it is my life’s mission to share this life changing knowledge with as many people as I possibly can.
